The ILC has implemented a digitized final testing process. Students taking their examinations online must agree to be proctored throughout the duration of their exam and adhere to specific rules regarding providing proof of identity.

How does TVO ILC work?

Students can enroll and study whenever and wherever they choose— 24 hours a day, 7 days a week— and take up to 10 months to complete each course of 110 hours of instruction plus tests and assignments. We don’t have set semesters or classes.

Do universities accept ILC courses?

Respected. Since 1926, TVO ILC has been the distance learning partner of the Ontario Ministry of Education. We are diploma-granting, recognized by all Canadian Colleges and Universities.

How long does ILC Mark take?

The courses are both online so marking is anywhere between 2-5 business days. If you had to take any ILC courses please feel free to share your experience.

How much does an ILC course cost?

A full year course load of 8 credits will cost you only $320/year. Homeschoolers can enrol directly. International and non-Ontario residents pay $500 per course. A full year course load of 8 credits will cost you only CAD $4000/year.

How do I upgrade my high school marks in Ontario?

Students may complete repeat courses to upgrade their marks for various reasons, including the following:

  1. University or college admissions.
  2. Attaining a certain overall grade average.

Assignments and quizzes are optional and do not count toward the final grade. We, ed2go, suggest a grade of 65% as the minimum. You have the option to set the completion score requirements higher, or lower, than 65%.

How do I add Ontario virtual school to Ouac?

In order for OVS to be able to add your courses to your OUAC profile, you need to have added OVS as an alternate school within the “Academic Information” section of your application. Please allow up to 3 business days after completing the report request for your OVS mark to be uploaded onto OUAC.
